Sailing Lake Wendouree

Lake Wendouree is a shallow lake (< 1.4m) and therefore the classes of yachts sailed are restricted by the depth of the water.

These classes are sailed at Ballarat Yacht Club;
Jubilee • ILCA • Impulse • Sabre • Lightweight Sharpie • Opti • Pacers • Windsurfer LT • Hansa

The club conducts competition with class line honours and both yardstick and individual handicapping to promote fair and even competition. 

Weekend Competition

Ballarat Yacht Club generally conducts sailing on a Saturday afternoon.  Race Briefing @ 1:30pm with The first class commencing at 2pm

Two races are typically scheduled each week.  Some weekend special events will change the start times, the length of race or number of races
